Meeting Minutes August 2019
 
Chairman Siler called the regular monthly board meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2019.  Board members present:  Lee Kegan, Steve Boyd and Chuck Siler.  Also present were Gordy Cronk, Bob Utphall and Carrie Green.
 
Pledge of Allegience was recited.
 
Boyd moved to accept the July general Meeting minutes. Kegan seconded.  Motion carried.
 
The treasurer gave the financial report.  Account balances for the month end were as follows: 
Peoples Bank General checking $25,842.93; Equipment Fund $63,490.43; General Savings Fund $114,352.48.  WESTconsin Credit Union general checking $4,947.93; Business Savings $5.00.
 
Public Input- Discussion about new 1 Ton Truck purchase
  •  Question about Synergy LP Contract.  Kegan will price shop.   Boyd moved to tentatively approve the Synergy Contract if no better option is available, for 2500 gallons at $1.14 per gallon prepaid.  Kegan seconded. Motion carried.

Quad Trucks-Kegan moved to contract Gary Cormican for 1000 tons at $4.80 per ton, for 1151st Ave.  Boyd seconded.  Motion carried.
 
ATV/UTV -The way the law is written currently, neither the Sheriff or DNR cannot “police” for speed, DUI, hours of operation etc.  Highway commissioner is looking to make changes.
 
Fire Hall Update-Kegan reported that electrical installation was not part of budget/ bid in original plan.  Fire   District will move money to cover it. 
The drainage ditch issue has caused towns to be upset.  Tabled discussion on payment until hall is complete.
Fire District would like all towns to enact a Fire Inspection Ordinance.  We will be receiving more info.
 
Patrolman’s report- Kegan moved to purchase an electric hot water pressure washer from Northern Hydraulics up to $2700.  Boyd seconded.  Motion carried.  Kegan moved to purchase 5 loads of cold mix asphalt. Boyd seconded. Motion carried.
 
2020 Budget-discussion to show FEMA money on budget.
 
Boyd moved to pay vouchers.  Kegan seconded.  Motion carried.
 
Kegan moved to adjourn meeting.  Boyd seconded.  Motion carried.
