​TOWN OF TIFFANY
Meeting Minutes June 2020       
 
Chairman Siler called the regular monthly board meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2020.  Members in attendance:  Chuck Siler, Lee Kegan, Steve Boyd, Katie Moll, Laura Rasmussen, Bob Utphall, Tom Humpal, Gordy Cronk, and Ron Winter.
 
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
 
Boyd moved to accept the May general Meeting minutes with an amendment to include contract price for bids granted. Kegan seconded.  Motion carried.
 
Financial Report given by treasurer Laura Rasmussen.  Account balances for the month end were as follows: General checking $14,968.56; Equipment Fund $21,354.75; General Savings Fund $111,409.22.   
 
Public Input
  • Reviewed the questions from county regarding ATV/UTV rules.  Goal is to get the whole county on the same book of rule so county police can then patrol townships as well.
  • Are there plans for 1130th for improvement?  Needs gravel.  Some gravel will be placed for sure, but with budget restrictions will not full repair.
  • Do we know what is happening with old grader tires for sale through Bauer Built.  No
  • Pressure washer.  Continue to have problems. Needs new motor and it’s on back order.
 
Painting inside of town hall-It’s taking a lot of scraping to prepare the walls.           
 
Old Shop Wall-Bob U. has wood siding to try first.  Boyd moved to have Bob make the repairs to the south side of old shop with wood or tin as he sees fit, to not exceed $100 in supplies.  Kegan seconded.  Motion carried.
 
Opened Bids:  Kegan moved to grant the bid for Wedging to Monarch Paving for a maximum of 400 tons at $76/ per, for 50th St.  Boyd seconded.  Motion carried.
 
Patrolman’s Report: New grader blades work well
            Josh has been grading, patching and spraying
            Cormican hauled gravel, but Josh had to finish it
            Pressure washer broken
            Cold mix options-Josh to explore costs and delivery options
            Can we add air conditioning to the grader?
New herbicide seems to be working well.  Working bugs out and need to keep it agitated.     Plans to start spraying a little later next spring.
 
                                                                                                          
Closed session:  Employee Review
Return to open session:  Kegan moved to give Josh a $.50/ hour raise to $22.90/ hour. Boyd seconded.  Motion carried with 3 Yay, 0 Nay.
 
 
Boyd moved to pay vouchers. Kegan seconded.  Motion carried.
 
Kegan moved to adjourn meeting.  Boyd seconded.  Motion carried.
