TOWN OF TIFFANY
 
Meeting Minutes November 2023
Chairman Kegan called the regular monthly board meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023. Board members present: Lee Kegan, Justin Clark and Matt Shepard. Others present: Brad Eggen-Patrolman, Joann Utphall-Treasurer, Katie Moll-Clerk, Josh Melstrom and Bob Utphall.
Pledge was recited.
 
Meeting Minutes-Shepard moved to accept October General Meeting. Clark seconded.  Motion carried.
 
Financial Report given by treasurer Joann Utphall.  Account balances for the month end were as follows: General checking $22,455.80.  Equipment Fund $36,597.79 General Savings Fund $102,920.60.
 
Clerk Report-Moll reported on finalized proposed 2024 budget. Prepped and posted for Budget Hearing, Meeting of the Electors and Board of Review meeting.  Prepared payroll and monthly books. Started working on continuing education required by the Wisconsin Elections Commission.
 
Public Input:
  •  Josh Melstrom presented to the board about his home inspection business.  He is looking to grow his business in this area.  He understands that Tiffany has used Weber Inspections for many years without issue. He agreed and said, “well he’ll have to retire someday!” The board will keep his information on file for future reference.
  • Treasurer Joann Utphall announced that she will be having heart surgery in December.  In preparation for this, she is planning to have all the tax bills out before then and contacted former Treasurer, Laura Rasmussen about possibly filling in for a short time during her recovery. The Dunn County Treasurer has also been informed.
  • Bob Utphall asked if current vouchers can be viewed instead of the previous month.  Clerk to review legality with county clerk.
 
Fire District:/Ambulance District: No report
 
Patrolman’s Report
  • Mowing whole town 1 more time
  • Brushing and grading.
  • Picked up the last of the salt sand. About 500 ton in the shed.
  • Grader update-went in for 500 hour tune up
 
Budget discussions. Clark moved to approve the preliminary 2024 budget. Shepard seconded. Motion carried.  Next step is for electors to approve the levy.
 
Vouchers:  Clark moved to pay vouchers. Shepard seconded.  Motion carried.
Adjourn: Shepard moved to adjourn meeting.  Clark seconded.  Motion carried.
