​TOWN OF TIFFANY
Meeting Minutes October 2020   
 
Chairman Siler called the regular monthly board meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2020.  Members in attendance:  Chuck Siler, Lee Kegan, Steve Boyd, Katie Moll, Laura Rasmussen, Gordy Cronk and Tom Humpal
 
Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
 
Boyd moved to accept the September General Meeting minutes. Kegan seconded.  Motion carried.
 
Financial Report given by treasurer Laura Rasmussen.  Account balances for the month end were as follows: General checking $34,609.76; Equipment Fund $21,382.12; General Savings Fund $101,608.55.   
 
Public Input
  •  50th street-questions about culverts.  When will wedging be completed? 
  • Sink hole on 1150th west of Q.
  • Status on pressure washer-needs new motor put in.
  • Can we get the plow on the dump truck leveled?
 
Human Society:  Kegan moved to accept the 2021/2022 Dunn County Humane Society Contract.  Boyd seconded. Motion carried.
 
Patrolman’s Report:  
  •  Kegan moved to purchase 400 tons of salt/sand from Dunn County.  Boyd seconded. Motion carried.
  • Discussion about using a borrowed lift to trim trees with New Haven.  Need to look into insurance issues.
  • Chuck to follow up with townsperson with junk in the ditch-again.
  • Chuck to follow up with local farmer who is driving through the ditch.
 
Solid Waste Program -Starting Jan.1st Recycling only will be available in Connersville from the 1st Friday of the month for 9 days and then picked up on Monday.  This will be open 24/7 but there is no lighting at night.   This site will offer 2 clean sweep days /year.
Tiffany will need to subscribe to a dumpster service for our town shop waste.
Letters to be sent to all townspeople now and again with the tax statements.
 
Budget Discussions- Probably keep recycling the same as last year in case new options evolve during the year.  Need to consider bridge repairs noted from dive inspection.   Discussed possible highway projects and bridge coating.
 
Budget Hearing and Rescheduled Annual Meeting date set for Thursday, November 12th at 7:00 pm.
 
Kegan moved to pay vouchers. Boyd seconded.  Motion carried.
 
Boyd moved to adjourn meeting.  Kegan seconded.  Motion carried.
