Meeting Minutes September 2023
Chairman Kegan called the regular monthly board meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September11, 2023. Board members present: Lee Kegan, Justin Clark and Matt Shepard. Others present: Brad Eggen-Patrolman, Joann Utphall-Treasurer, Katie Moll-Clerk, Gordy Cronk, Chuck Siler, and Carrie Green
Pledge was recited.
 
Meeting Minutes-Shepard moved to accept August General Meeting. Clark seconded.  Motion carried.
 
Financial Report given by treasurer Joann Utphall.  Account balances for the month end were as follows: General checking $72,231.41.  Equipment Fund $36,530.60 General Savings Fund $111,013.77
 
 
Clerk Report-Katie Moll-Started on 2024 budget.  Postcards made for picnic invite and hazardous waste event. Payroll and monthly books.
 
 
Public Input-none
Fire District: No report
Ambulance District: No report
 
Annual Picnic-Date set for October 9th from 5-7 pm.  JoAnn will get meat, tableware, chips, buns, lemonade and coffee.  She is planning to make the potato salad.  Brad will pick up cookies at Best Maid in River Falls and bring tables.  Volunteers needed to make bars.
 
Pittman Driveway Permit: Kegan moved to approve Pittman driveway permit. Shepard seconded. Motion carried.
 
New Haven Recycling-review of letter from New Haven letter.  They overcharged last year, so will amend the 2024 budget to reflect change.  Board agreed.
 
Hazardous Waste Event-Village of Boyceville be hosting a Hazardous Waste Collection event on Tuesday, October 10th from 2-6 pm at the Boyceville Dump.
 
 
Patrolman’s Report
  • Tractor -Replaced another fuse.  PTO leak repaired.  3 pt. still leaking. Tires needed for next spring. Add to the budget approximately $2800 for set of 4.
  • Clark moved to drive grader to Cat for repairs. Shepard seconded. Motion carried.
  • Monarch will be paving 284th end of September.
  • Hauling gravel on 30th.  No culvert will be needed.
Budget discussions. Seal coating is $28000 per mile.  Gravel is $20000 per mile (4-5 inches deep)
Vouchers:  Clark moved to pay vouchers. Shepard seconded.  Motion carried.
Adjourn: Shepard moved to adjourn meeting.  Clark seconded.  Motion carried.
